Booking & prices
How much does a VIP desert safari cost in Dubai?
From $81 per person for an evening at a traditional Bedouin camp with VIP seating, dinner and shows, around $250 per person for a fully private camp, and AED 695+ for fine dining in the conservation reserve. All prices include Dubai hotel transfers. Full ladder on the prices page.
What is the difference between a standard and a VIP desert safari?
VIP means some combination of reserved seating, smaller groups, better vehicles, upgraded dining, or complete privacy. The word is used loosely across Dubai, which is why we publish exactly what you get at each of our seven levels.
How do I book, and can I cancel?
Three steps on WhatsApp or online: choose, confirm, pay. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup on most levels. See the booking page and cancellation policy for the full details.
Where can I find deals on VIP desert safaris?
We publish genuine offers each month: group, midweek, early-bird and summer pricing. See the deals page.
The experience
What is included in a VIP desert safari?
Every level includes hotel pickup and drop-off, the desert experience (dune drive and camp evening), dinner, soft drinks and entertainment as listed on each product page. Quad bikes, dune buggies and alcohol are add-ons.
How long does a desert safari last?
Evening safaris run about 6–7 hours door to door (pickup around 2:30pm, return around 10pm). Morning safaris about 4 hours. Overnight experiences return after breakfast the next day.
What food is served, and can you handle dietary requirements?
From live-cooked BBQ buffets with vegetarian options at camp levels, to multi-course fine dining at the Luxury level. Vegan, gluten-free and allergies are confirmed on your voucher.
What is the best time of year for a desert safari?
November to March for the mildest weather. Evening for sunset, shows and dinner; morning for cooler dunes. Summer evenings still work well — the desert cools fast after sunset.
What should I wear to a desert safari?
Light, loose clothing and sandals or trainers. Bring a light layer November–February because the desert drops around 10°C after sunset. No need to dress up for the camp level; smart casual for the Luxury and Glamorous evenings.
Who it is for
Is a VIP desert safari suitable for families with children?
Yes. The Classic and Fortress camps are built for families: camel rides, henna, shows and child pricing. Dune bashing has age and health limits and can be skipped for toddlers.
Can I do a desert experience without dune bashing?
Yes. Every camp dinner can be booked with a gentle direct transfer instead of the dune drive. Right choice for pregnant guests, back problems, motion sickness and very young children.
Are private VIP desert safaris fully customizable?
Fully. Your own camp, timing, menu, decorations, photographer and music. Proposals and milestone celebrations are our most customized bookings.
Is the desert accessible for guests with limited mobility?
Several partner camps offer step-free access, accessible toilets and a direct vehicle transfer to the table. Tell us your needs on WhatsApp and we match the right venue.
Trust
How do I choose a trustworthy safari operator?
Check for a DTCM license, a voucher naming your exact camp, card payment, a real cancellation policy and reviews that mention specifics. Or let us do it — that is our whole job. See our guide on how to choose a safari operator.
