What "shared" actually means
On a shared-camp VIP safari (Classic, Fortress), your transfer is already private — a 4x4 for your group only. What is shared is the camp: other groups are dining at other tables. You have a reserved table. Think of it like a restaurant: your own table, but other people in the room.
What "private" actually means
On a private-camp safari (VIP Private, VIP Hideaway), your camp is built for your group only in the open desert. No other tables, no shared stage. Complete silence after dinner.
When to choose shared
- You want the full social energy: live shows, Tanoura, fire dance
- Travelling with children who enjoy a lively camp
- Budget is the priority ($81–$110 range)
When to choose private
- Couple, honeymoon, or celebrating something that deserves complete privacy
- Group large enough that per-person cost of private is competitive (from 6–8 people)

FAQ
Is a private desert safari worth the extra cost?
For couples and small groups of 4–6 it usually is. For groups of 8+ the per-person cost of private often drops below a premium shared camp.
How "private" is a VIP shared camp safari?
You have a private 4x4 and reserved table. The camp itself has other groups at other tables.
Can I book private for a large group?
Yes. Private scales from couples to 10–12 people. For 20+ guests we use Grand Desert Events.
