The simple rule
Dress for outdoor dining in a warm climate: light, loose clothing covering shoulders and knees, and flat footwear you do not mind getting sandy.
Clothing by season
Nov–Feb: the desert drops ~10°C after sunset. Bring a light jacket.
Mar–May: light linen or cotton. No jacket needed.
Jun–Sep: breathable fabric is the priority. Read our summer guide.
Footwear
Sandals or trainers. Avoid heels — they sink in sand.

For Luxury and Glamorous levels

FAQ
Do I need to cover up?
Shoulders and knees covered is respectful and practical. Loose covered clothing is more comfortable in sun and sand.
Can I wear a dress or skirt?
Yes. A maxi or midi dress works well. Shorter dresses can be awkward during dune bashing — light trousers underneath resolves it.
Should I bring a jacket?
November–March: yes. The desert drops sharply after sunset. April–October: unnecessary.
