What is the VIP Fortress Desert Safari?

The Fortress safari swaps the open Bedouin camp for a purpose built desert fortress village. You dine on stone terraces under the stars, surrounded by castle walls, torches and courtyards. The setting is more theatrical than the Classic safari, with the same crowd pleasing activities: camel riding, falconry displays, henna and live entertainment.

It photographs beautifully at night and suits families, groups and anyone who wants a memorable venue without moving to a fully private setup.

How is the Fortress different from the Classic safari?

Same evening structure, different venue. The Classic is a traditional open Bedouin camp. The Fortress is a walled desert village with terraced dining, torches and courtyards, which makes for a more dramatic setting and better night photos. It costs about $29 more per person.

Is the fortress venue suitable for children?

Yes. The village layout is safe and contained, with camel rides, falcons and shows that children enjoy, plus clean toilet facilities.
